OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
What is Occupational Therapy?
Many of us take activities such as getting ready for school or work, walking the dog, cooking, eating and other normal activities (or occupations) for granted. Our outlook on life is significantly altered when the ability to carry out these essential occupations for normal living are hindered. All of us, at each stage of life, carry out occupations. Young children learn, play and develop. Teens take on responsibilities and tasks, grooming them for adulthood. Adults make a living for their families and communities.
Occupational therapy remediates, develops, and maintains essential occupations for normal living that may have been hindered, altered, or underdeveloped (as in developmental delays). Our Occupational therapists incorporate the occupations that are important to you and your love one so that they may thrive at school, during therapy and beyond.
